Remember Burning Waste Will Damage Your Health and the Environment- and it is illegal!
Under New Regulations, "Prohibition of Waste Disposal by Burning", (S.I 286 of 2009) it is illegal to dispose of household or commercial waste by burning.
It is illegal to dispose of household, or garden waste by burning either inside or outside any part of a house or garden. These regulations also include Bonfines which are illegal except in certain circumstances where the Local Authority has given permission.
Potential health effects of backyard burning include heart problems, kidney and brain damage. Contact your local council for further information.
