*Important Government Legislation Update*

In line with the latest Government Legislation [S.I. No. 679/2023 – European Union (Household Food Waste and Bio-Waste) (Amendment) Regulations 2023] all commercial premises are now required by Irish Law to have a three-bin waste collection service: general waste, recycling, and food/garden/compost (brown bin). This is being audited and enforced by your local authority.
To support this, Mr Binman is delivering you a Brown Bin for the collection of food, garden, and organic waste. This service ensures full compliance with the new environmental legislation, which no longer permits the disposal of food or compostable waste in general waste bins.
How This Can Benefit You:
By using your bins correctly—segregating waste into general, recycling, and compost—you could reduce the weight and frequency of your general waste bin, which may lower your overall waste management costs. The more you separate, the more you can save! The cost of the new bin will be €12 per month (fortnightly collection) and 13cents per kilo. Again, you should be able to reduce your general waste bin frequency or size to reduce your overall costs if you segregate the waste correctly.
What Happens Next:
We will start delivering your new Brown Bin to your premises from September the 15th 2025. If you do not wish to receive this bin, please complete and submit the refusal form at the link below by 5pm on 12th September 2025. If we do not receive your form by that date, the bin will be delivered in the coming weeks.
